Valletta – Malta Review

[English version below pictures]

Valletta – the capital city of this island nation that is in the EU, located in the middle of the Mediterranean below Italy, is a beautiful city with a very well preserved medieval architecture. The island passed through Arab hands, and later mastered by the Knights of Saint John, maltanesse is spoken by the population which is a kind of a combination of Italian and Arabic but they also speak Italian and English, for the sake of the tourists. Just 20 minutes by bus from the port where I was ,I also got a glimpse of the rest of the island, they did a great job the people there, all the buildings being constructed or at least dressed in an open stone texture specific to the island. The Old Town begins at the gate and walls that give way in to a plaza that is extended with a beautiful pedestrian street leading up to the stairs that go down to the sea in the tourist port. But up on the walls near the stairs there is the best view, which is superb, especially from one of the many royal gardens / parks, the entire Valletta golf is visible but also the sister cities across the water. The only problem is that you have about seen it all in a day, maximum two, most tourists were not specifically for this, but more like one more stop on the tourist circuit, but if you ever go in the South of Italy,or Tunisia, it’s really worth a one day trip by plane or ferry.
