After almost a year since I left the city , I decided it was time to revisit Cluj and and what better occasion to go than during the Electric Castle music festival. I did not go necessarily just for the festival but considering that the fourth day of the festival Prodigy was playing it became really attractive.
The road was long and as you know , Romania’s infrastructure is still lacking behind. From Constanta to Cluj Napoca are only 687 kilometers of which if you include the new section of motorway from Sibiu to Sebes there are almost 400 kilometers of motorway, but due to the fact that on the critical section of route from Pitesti to Sibiu where you cross the Olt Valley there is no motorway and the road there has Continue reading →
Because I had enough of the sadness and the feeling of a dead city that Constanta city offers outside of the summer season I decided to pack up and try life Cluj Napoca – the capital of Transylvania . I visited the city before but only for the weekend period and I liked what I saw , and when I had an opportunity I went to the car , filled the tank and hit the road. Unfortunately my living experience in Cluj Napoca was a bit short , I would have stayed there for about another two months but duty calls. I had good living conditions , we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a Continue reading →
Went for a short trip to Cluj Napoca or Klausenburg as the Germans used to call it , the capital in the heart of Transilvania. This time i went without a car , took a train from Constanta to Bucharest , that was about 3 hours time and costed 60 RON , and I was supposed to take the morning 05:45 train to Cluj , but it was impossible to wake up at that time , so i Took the 9 AM bus , that made about 9 hours time , and costed 74 RON (leaves from Militari bus station).
Cluj , the same nice city that i enjoyed to see again , a place that while it is inside Romania , doesn’t quite feel like it , Continue reading →
