A pitoresque little city in southern Italy , Salerno retains it’s medieval architecture and historic center. Squeezed between the mountains and the sea it offers great views and landscapes everywhere you look. Nice old architecture at the base and modern bridges and motorways up on the mountains. And being a true Italian city , the atmosphere is as nice as it is annoying sometimes.
Each day from 12 to 16:00 the hole city dies , nothing moves and all the shops close they’re doors during the siesta hours , that means that in you’re few free hours to visit around everything is closed!!
